Preparing your Research and Analysis Project
Welcome to the section of the Information Pack that will guide you through your Research and Analysis Project (RAP) journey. We understand that this can be a daunting process, but we’re here to provide you with a range of resources and support to make it as smooth as possible.
Your RAP journey has been divided into four key stages to help you navigate through the process:
- Getting started: This stage will help you select a topic, plan your research, and understand the expectations and requirements of the project.
- Analysis, evaluation, and critical writing: This stage is the core of your RAP and involves conducting research, analyzing data, evaluating findings, and writing up your report in a critical and structured manner.
- Skills and learning statement: This stage requires you to reflect on your learning during the RAP process and identify how it has helped you develop key skills and competencies.
- Submission: This final stage involves preparing and submitting your RAP report, skills and learning statement, and other required documents.
In addition, we have included a section specifically for students who are resubmitting their RAP. This section provides guidance on how to address feedback and make the necessary improvements to achieve a passing grade.
To further support your RAP journey, we have also created a series of informative videos that are available on the BSc Applied Accounting YouTube channel. These videos cover a range of topics, including selecting a topic, conducting research, analyzing data, and writing up your report.
We hope that these resources and support will help you navigate through your RAP journey with confidence and ease. Remember, if you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to your mentor or the RAP support team for assistance.
